Environment Health & Safety

“Zero Harm” lies at the heart of Elbrit Life Sciences and guides every aspect of our corporate policy in the area of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS).

Vigilant monitoring and working in an environmentally responsible manner go hand-in-hand; we pride ourselves on our approach and making the health and safety of our workers a priority.

Our EHS policy starts at the managerial level, whose top-down implementation ensures a workplace and practices that reflect Elbrit Life Sciences’s values from the ground up. From plant design and selecting equipment whose future maintenance minimizes environmental impact to organization structure, we are committed to nothing less than international standards.

Elbrit Life Sciences’s EHS performance levels are upheld tirelessly through regular reviews at multiple levels: regional, divisional, and corporate.

The progress at facility level is given especial tight focus, with all sectors cooperating closely to facilitate an environmentally sound process that always has the health and safety of its members in mind. Nothing is left to chance; permit-to-work system for operational safety, fire prevention and protection activities, operation of the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP)/Incinerator, and disposal activities related to hazardous wastes are all subject to frequent audits and inspections, both carried out internally as well as sought through approved external laboratories. Safety surveillance creates a safe workplace for our workers and the environment.

In the appraisal of our employees we place equal value on monitoring work place hygiene and our workers’ health.

Assessments are carried out regularly and training is kept up-to-date with the latest standards.

Elbrit Life Sciences’s Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) status is the successful outcome of an effective EHS policy and the latest recycling equipment for treating effluent, installed at all of our major facilities.

Our commitment to excellence, however, does not end there as we continue to extend our involvement to the relevant authorities and industry members to devise laws and regulations that reflect a socially and environmentally conscious society.
